GameMaker Awards 2025 announced by YoYo Games

YoYo Games, the creators of GameMaker, have announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 edition of the GameMaker awards.

Members of the public can now nominate their favourite GameMaker game of the last year, their most anticipated game for next year, the best GameMaker tool and a “Community Legend”.

Previous GameMaker Awards

This is the sixth time the awards have taken place since they started in 2020. Previous winners of the best GameMaker game include Colt Canyon, Revita and last year’s winner Picayune Dreams.

The award categories have changed a few times over the years. Initially only the best game was awarded, then the “most anticipated game” category was added a year later.

This year a brand new category has been added for the best GameMaker “Community Legend”, which should be “Someone from the GameMaker community, who has inspired or helped you or others”.

Nominations are open for two weeks from October 2nd until October 16th. Good luck to all our fellow GameMaker creators out there! Be sure to submit your own nominations and give your favourite game devs a boost today.
