RPG Character Creator in Development

Exciting News! As part of our project to release lots of free game assets, we’re working on a tool to allow you to create custom characters for your RPGs.

If you’ve been following us closely, you know we recently released a top-down adventure games graphics pack and a 2D platformer pack. Our next big genre to tackle is RPGs, for which we already have a small handful of tile sets.

While I was working on some sprites for creating characters, I decided it would be easier to start planning a character creator so you can all have true creative freedom over the characters in your games.

When it’s ready to launch, our pack of RPG graphics will include the base sprites for each layer (body, hair, clothes, etc.) as well as pre-made example characters, and the character creator so that you can make your own designs more easily.

The sprites for the body types and all of the hairstyles are already done. Next up I’m working on a whole bunch of outfits to fit a wide variety of hero classes and NPCs.
