Shumbled! – Poker but with words
Shumbled! is a spelling game where players compete to score the most points in each round.
How to Play
- At the start of each round, shuffle the deck and deal every player 2 cards each.
- Deal 5 more cards face up on the table in front of everyone.
- Players now have 1 minute to think of a word using their own 2 cards and the 5 cards on the table.
- At the end of 1 minute, all players declare their words. The word which scores the most points wins the round. The first player to win 5 rounds wins the game.
Scoring
Each letter card has a value. For example E=1 and Q=15. The total points scored by a word is equal to the values of all its letters added together.
But there’s more – if all of the letters used in the player’s word are the same colour, their points for that round are DOUBLED.
If a player manages to create a 7-letter word, their points for that round are TREBLED.
And that’s it! It’s quite a simple game, but we hope you like it.
