Learn how to make a word guessing game in GameMaker with our ready-made project!

A simple GameMaker template project to help you learn how to make a word guessing game like Wordle (and other similar titles).

Shows you how to grab a random five letter word from a list and display the player’s guesses with different colors to help them crack the puzzle.

The logic used in the template could be used to create a similar guessing game that doesn’t even use words – it could be numbers, or sprites, or anything!

Made & tested in GameMaker 2024.11.0.179, you should run the project only in this version or higher.
